LunART Festival 2026: Friday Gala Concert

Experience the power and richness of women’s artistic voices in an evening of choral and chamber music. The program features works by women composers that explore the textures, harmonies, and emotional depth of the human voice, often in dialogue with piano, strings, and other instruments.

Highlights include Rita Strohl’s Piano Trio No. 2 in D minor, evocative choral works by Madeline Barrett and Joan Johnson Drewes, our 2026 Call for Scores winners, and Libby Larsen, our 2026 Composer-in-Residence. Additional works by Amy Beach, BE Boykin, and Jocelyn Hagen, along with Mel Bonis’ Scenes de la Forêt for flute, horn, and piano, bring both intimate and expansive textures to the evening. Contemporary perspective is offered by Sarah Bareilles’ Kaleidoscope Heart, reflecting on connection and resonance in today’s world.
